Dog Training Collars (chain slip dog collar)
Dog training collars also called 'choke chains' are meant for training purposes ONLY. Dog training collars should only be used by experienced hands for strong-willed dogs. Dog training collars apply pain when the dog trainer is delivering a quick 'tug-and-release' correction. If you choose a dog training collar, have a trainer show you how to use it correctly. Dog training collars should never be worn by dogs in a crate. Never leave a dog unattended with a training collar on. Never put your dog on a tie-out with a training collar on. (injury, stangulation)
DogTraining Collars (Pronged Collar)
Dog training collars, also called prong collars, contain blunt prongs that protrude inward from the links, designed for very stubborn dogs. Dog training collars are temporary dog training tools used on dogs that do not respond to any other method. Dog head collars give you more control and are much less likely to harm your dog. Dog owners who learned how to correctly train their dogs, rarely need dog training collars.
Learning proper dog training methods is almost more successful than a brutal fight!
Dog Training Collars (Electronic dog collars)
Electronic dog collars are another form of dog training collars, but you should never attempt to use them without the help of an experienced dog trainer. Because with electronic dog collars, there is a much greater chance of accidentally teaching a dog the wrong thing. Dog owners must be careful not to create another misbehavior or even aggressions. Electronic dog collars are primary used for dog training toward competitive events or trials, at a level far beyond that of dog owners needs.
Note: Before using electronic dog collars the dog must understand basic obedience commands. Electronic dog collars should never be the first choice of dog collar!
